The Genting Group was founded in 1965 and have today headquarter in Malaysia. They operate in many businesses including hotels and casinos. The online casino Genting was founded over 10 years ago and was first licensed in Alderney. Since 2019 they have had a Malta license. They also have a license with the UK Gambling commission.
Genting do not give any reasons for the closure in the press release we recieved from them.

Regrettably, Genting Malta Limited (T/A GentingBet) has taken the decision to close all licensed operations with effect from 23 August 2021. Genting Malta Limited (T/A GentingBet) will cease trading its sportsbook on 16 August and its online casino on 23 August 2021.
